Lighting in the space

The new training centres were planned for a range of teaching methods, from group sessions and individual study to practical simulation. Lighting in such a scheme needs to support the use of digital screens and changing room arrangements, while making circulation and instruction spaces comfortable to use.

Office Insight delivered the wider design and fit-out for DB Cargo’s ETCS training centres in Wembley and Doncaster, with adaptable rooms, digital tools and simulation zones. Calibo’s confirmed role was all the lighting. The completed spaces bring together teaching, collaboration and practical training, with lighting across each setting.
