Gesso uses a simple formed surface to make light feel part of the wall itself. Its restrained volume works particularly well alongside textured plaster and quiet architectural finishes, where small changes in depth become visible.
Gesso takes the same up-down principle into pure white gypsum — a softer, more paintable alternative to the concrete pieces, built to disappear into a white wall.
